Hi,
How do I specify a unique message ID that will also be in the delivery response?

I'm sorry, but it is not possible to specify unique id in SubmitSm that can be received in DeliverSm as response from mobile user.

Even with the optional parameters?
The OptionalTags.UserMessageReference?

Could you ask your provider? Usually it doesn't work.
Possible you are lucky and it will work.
If so please let me know.

Hi Alt,
Unfortunately our SMSC do not return the UserMessageReference in the DeliverySM.
I have since used the MessageID supplied by the SMSC. I had to accommodate for each SMSC as each provider had a slightly different MessageID

Yes, usually MessageId is stored as string.
