Delivery reports speed

I have manage to send 100.000 messages in 170 minutes using the latest version of DLL 1.2.6.0, while connected to a DEMO SMPP server that is running the “Inetlap.SMPP SmppServer Demo” application. With that result I am very happy. The issue I see, is that it took 20 hours until all delivery reports completed. Is this normal? Should I expect similar performance if I connect with a real SMPP server?
