Coding - how to decide which is GSM or not?

is there a ready method to check if a text is GSM or not?
so i can set the correct coding?

There is only an idea how to do this. In the post

I wrote:
for GSMEncoding we could add the method _gsmEncoding.IsTextValid(text); or any other name that you can suggest.
What do you think about this idea?
